Tile floor designs using patterned borders and mosaic patterned field tiles.
It is customary to have a row of solid color tile from the wall to the outside of the patterned border. This is great for small intrusions like door facings, and to even things out when there is an uneven amount of space between a rug pattern and the walls, etc.
