These are 6"x2" Bejmat tiles (150x50x13mm). Bejmat are a particular style of rectangular Glazed Zellige tiles, with slabs cut before firing. These thinner bejmat help reduce the weight for wall applications. Produced by hand in Fez, Morocco, these Moroccan mosaic floor tiles are known the world over. Still made with the local clays, and fired in kilns powered by olive pits, these rectangular floor tiles are authentic Zellige (zellij).
Friendly Reminder: Zellige colors have high variation, so one sample tile may not fully reflect the tones of a full box. A single sample is meant to show the finish, thickness, edges, and color mood. We've taken multiple photos from different batches to help set accurate expectations.

Modern Shower Curb Detail featuring Large Dew Drop Terrazzo and Bejmat Zellige
This sophisticated material transition by designers Kit Williamson and John Halbach showcases the structural elegance of the Large Dew Drop Terrazzo flooring as it forms a monolithic curb for the walk-in shower. The interior pan utilizes Snow White Glazed Bejmat tiles for a textural, slip-resistant finish, while the walls are clad in vibrant Spark C Tangerine cement tiles. This composition illustrates how the neutral, stone-flecked terrazzo grounds the high-energy starburst pattern, resulting in a balanced and curated luxury wet room.
